At Kent State University since August 2003, I earned tenure and promotion to associate professor August 2009. I am currently in the School of Foundations, Leadership and Administration in the College of Education, Health, and Human Services,  where I carry out cultural studies research focused primarily on media coverage of such topics as distance running, amateur wrestling, and Title IX. More recently I’ve been doing work on how high school girls’ navigate their embodied identities. Check out my CV for updated information on my published research and academic presentations. The courses I teach include History and Philosophy of Sport & PE and Sport & the Media. You can get more detailed information about these classes, and others I have taught, through the ‘Courses Taught’ link. http://www.kent.edu/http://www.ehhs.kent.edu/flahttp://www.ehhs.kent.edu/flahttp://www.ehhs.kent.eduhttp://www.ehhs.kent.edushapeimage_1_link_0shapeimage_1_link_1shapeimage_1_link_2shapeimage_1_link_3shapeimage_1_link_4
